Safety Centre Wins Multiple Awards For Lifesaving Safety Education
The Safety Centre has won three awards this year recognising the amazing work of the charity’s team of volunteers and staff delivering life saving safety education into schools across the region and at the pioneering education centre Hazard Alley.
This March, as we celebrate 30 years of lifesaving learning, we’re thrilled to share we’ve won three awards recognising our safety education work across the region. The Safety Centre team and volunteers are the proud owners of the following awards:
Charity of the Year for the Thames Valley Business & Community Awards– for our early intervention knife crime education work.
Charity of the Year for the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards– for our violence against women and girls project and knife crime education.
Gold Winners of the MK Community Foundation Carole Baume Best Innovative Project Awards– for our new violence against women and girls project supporting young people with this emerging safety education theme.
Recognising Impactful Safety Education
Each award helps raise awareness of our impactful safety education work in schools across the region and at our education centre Hazard Alley. We are thrilled to receive each award and are proud to celebrate these wins with our volunteers and staff, who make our education delivery possible.
Accessing Lifesaving Safety Education
Our safety education workshops are delivered into schools across the country and schools visit our education centre Hazard Alley based in Kiln Farm Milton Keynes for immersive scenario based safety education. Our experienced and qualified education team cover topics including online safety, drug and alcohol safety, knife crime, road safety and violence against women and girls.
