Award winning Hazard Alley

The Safety Centre, Hazard Alley are delighted to announce that they are the proud winners of not one, but two awards for Business Innovation!

During the past year, the staff at Hazard Alley have been very busy implementing three new systems: Hubspot, Xero and Better Impact. All of these allow us to fundamentally improve the way we store customer and volunteer information; keep track on the progress of bookings; manage volunteer schedules and look after our accounts.

By having all three of these systems work together, we have managed to enhance the way in which we interact with customers. It certainly beats sending out reminder letters in the post!

However, moving from paper to electronic records was certainly no easy feat, especially when we have been so used to keeping paper ones. It was one big jump into the 21st Century.

But what was more incredible was that staff carried out all the work themselves. I’m sure you can imagine there were quite a few head scratching moments, especially when attempting to create a system to mimic our booking forms and volunteer schedules.

All of this hard work and dedication was recognised when we were recently awarded the Innovation Award at the MK Business Achievement Awards and the Silver Award for Project of the Year at the SME MK & Bucks Awards.
