First Aid Training
First Aid Training Courses
Our first aid training courses are educational, interactive and designed to meet your business needs. In addition to the quality first aid training you or your colleagues will receive, you also have the added benefit of knowing that income we earn from the courses helps offset the delivery costs of our children’s safety education programme.
Courses at the centre are scheduled throughout the year and can be viewed in our table at the bottom of the page.
We also provide a onsite first aid training for schools or companies that require training for groups of 8 or more people. In order to access this service, the school/company will need a large room for practical activities and a TV/projector for the first aid instructors to use.

The Safety Centre is working in partnership with a local company to provide an extensive range of Fire Safety Training courses that enable organisations both to fulfil all legal obligations and to protect their infrastructure and employees. Courses are provided for all businesses, local authorities, other non-commercial organisations and schools.
Fire Safety Training is an essential requirement for every organisation to protect employees, visitors or residents and to ensure the integrity of the workplace. It is also a legal obligation under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006. Fire kills around 30 people a year in the workplace in the UK and the costs associated with fire cause serious disruption to business, and many businesses do not recover from a devastating fire.
Fire Safety Training is an important part of any company’s mantra – that’s why it makes sense to arrange training with the experts. All of the courses are run by experienced, retired Fire Officers who have been carefully selected for their training skills and expertise in fire related matters. Some have experience of enforcement action as well. This gives you the benefit of the security and peace of mind that training has been delivered by people with experience of fire in different environments and circumstances.
In addition to a variety of standard courses. There are other courses available, designed for organisations with specific fire safety risks, such as warehouses, hotels and construction sites. Training provided will be effective and relevant and can be tailored to meet your specific needs. For some businesses, we have bespoke training, centred on your procedures and requirements.
This course covers the topics required for basic first aid and is used when a workplace does not require someone to have the First Aid at Work qualification. This is usually in places such as offices where the risk for incidents and accidents is low. Candidates attending this course will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to manage an emergency at their workplace.
