Railway safety
We all know that you need to stay behind the yellow line when waiting for a train at the station, but what if you saw some train tracks in your local village? Are they any different?
Unfortunately when playing football with your friends, the ball is accidentally kicked onto these tracks – you need to get it back!
There is no yellow line to tell us where to stop, but there are lots of signs telling us not to trespass. You can also see big power lines carrying lots of electricity – do you think they will be more dangerous than the electric cables in your home? Should you be that close to them?
Perhaps if you are quick no one will notice you have been on the tracks, after all mum would be cross if you came home without it. However, you hear the faint sound of an approaching train, so the question is do you think you will reach the ball before the train approaches?
