Safety Centre – Hazard Alley Tours and Whole Day Visit Terms and Conditions

1. Confirmation of booking

Once a provisional booking has been made, it is the School/Organisation’s responsibility to arrange transport and confirm your trip within the 14 day period of you making the initial booking. If this does not happen, Safety Centre reserves the right to remove the booking from the diary.

2. Payment

The School/Organisation Shall pay the charges outlined in the booking agreement at the specified times.

i) Deposit payable on receipt on invoice.

ii) Balance due 60 days before the date of the tour.

3. Maximum Capacity

The School/Organisation shall not bring more than the maximum number of people allowed by the Safety Centre in any one visit, or the numbers specified in the booking agreement. Any last minute additions, subject to us being notified, may be liable for extra charges.

4. Visitors’ Details

The School/Organisation must provide the Safety Centre with details of any adverse reaction children may have to our scenarios, and any special needs we need to be aware of by completing the attached medical form and returning it to the centre prior to the visit.

5. Recording

The use of any cameras, audio or video recorders WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED at the discretion of the Safety Centre.

6. Reproduction of Safety Centre Material

No literature, recording, logo or any other material related to the Safety Centre may be used or reproduced for any commercial purpose, without prior permission from the Safety Centre.

7. Use of Facilities

The School/Organisation shall ensure that no one in the party:

i) Leaves anything in, or in any way obstructs any emergency exit or emergency sign.

ii) Marks, soils or damages the structure, walls or any other surfaces or contents of the Safety Centre.

iii) Behaves in a disorderly or disruptive manner.

8. Disposal of articles left on the Premises

Safety Centre reserves the right to remove and dispose of anything left on the premises after the visit.

9. Refreshments

The School/Organisation shall ensure that no refreshments are brought into or consumed with the Safety Centre WITHOUT PRIOR AGREEMENT by the Safety Centre.

10. Security and Procedures

i) The School/Organisation shall ensure that all teachers and other adults within their party wear the appropriate name badges provided by the Safety Centre.

ii) Any items brought into and taken out of the Safety Centre may be searched by the Safety Centre staff.

iii) The School/Organisation shall ensure that all children are provided with a name badge/label.

iv) Any person coming into the premises must comply with security procedures as these may be in force at the time of the visit.

11. Evacuation Procedure

The School/Organisation shall comply with the Safety Centre’s procedure for evacuation in the event of emergencies.

12. Right to Eject

The Safety Centre reserves the right in its solo discretion to:

i) Require any person to leave the premises, or part of the premises.

ii) Refuse to permit anything brought into or require anything to be removed from any part of the premises.

13. Cancellation of visit by School/Organisation

In the event of a cancellation the following applies:

i) The deposit paid on confirmation of the visit is non-refundable.

ii) If the cancellation is made within 60 days of the intended visit, all admission fees may be forfeited.

14. Cancellation of visit by Safety Centre

If the School/Organisation or any member of their party to observe, or breaches any of these terms and conditions, then the Safety Centre without prejudice to any accrued rights against the School/Organisation, forthwith and without notice may terminate the visit.

15. Reduction in numbers (up to a maximum of 10)

Changes can be made to the number of individuals in the group up to 60 days prior to the visit date. The balance will be adjusted at the discretion of the Safety Centre.

16. School/Organisation Liability

The Safety Centre shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury (except where such matters are caused by the negligence of the Safety Centre, its staff or agents) caused to any person or property which arises out of or in connection with the visit.

17. Variation

The booking form, together with these Terms and Conditions contains or refers to all the terms of the agreement made between the parties. These terms shall not be varied or added to except by a written agreement signed by the parties.

18. Joint and Several Liability

If the expression ‘the School/Organisation’ includes more than one person, those persons shall jointly and severally be liable under the terms of the booking agreement, including these conditions of booking.

Safety Centre Safety Education Workshop- Paid for Sessions- Terms and Conditions

1. Confirmation of booking

Once a provisional booking has been made, it is the School/Organisation’s responsibility to confirm your booking within the 14 days. If this does not happen, Safety Centre reserves the right to remove the booking from the diary.

2. Payment

The School/Organisation Shall pay the charges outlined in the booking agreement as per the below:

  • Payment is due 30 days before the workshop is due to take place.
  • If the workshop date is less than 30 days from the date of booking the payment will be due immediately

3. Maximum Capacity

The School/Organisation shall have no more than the maximum of 30 children in our standard classroom workshop. Larger groups can be booked but this must be done by prior arrangement only. Any last minute additions, subject to us being notified, may be liable for extra charges.

4. Visit Details

4.1) The School/Organisation must provide the Safety Centre with details of any adverse reaction children may have to our workshops.

4.2) The School/Organisation must provide details of any pupil with relevant special needs we may need to be aware of prior to the visit.

4.3) Safety Centre requires a member of the School’s/Organisation’s staff to be with our Education team member at all times during the workshop.

4.4) If a pupil(s) behaves in a disruptive way during the session, the Safety Centre’s Education Officer will ask the school to interject which may lead to removal of a disruptive pupil.

4.5) If at any time the member of Safety Centre’s Education team feels unsafe, they have the right to leave the school. Safety Centre will not tolerate physical and verbal abuse towards any member of staff.

4.6) We reserve the right to recharge the School/Organisation for any Safety Centre property that has been damaged during the course of the workshop.

5. Recording

The use of any cameras, audio or video recorders WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED at the discretion of the Safety Centre.

6. Reproduction of Safety Centre Material

No literature, recording, logo, or any other material related to the Safety Centre may be used or reproduced for any commercial purpose, without prior permission from the Safety Centre.

7. Cancellation of visit by School/Organisation

In the event of a cancellation the following applies:

• The School/Organisation will be issued a full refund if more than 30 days notice is given.

•If less than 30 days but more than 2 weeks notice is given, a 50% refund will be issued.

•If 2 weeks or less notice is given, no refund will be due.

8. Cancellation of visit by Safety Centre

•It may be necessary for Safety Centre to cancel workshops with little notice to the School/Organisation. If this occurs, Safety Centre will endeavour to rebook the workshop with the School/Organisation as soon as possible unless:

The School/Organisation or any member of their party fail to observe, or breaches any of these terms and conditions, then the Safety Centre without prejudice to any accrued rights against the School/Organisation, forthwith and without notice may terminate the visit.

9. School/Organisation Liability

The Safety Centre shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury (except where such matters are caused by the negligence of the Safety Centre, its staff, or agents) caused to any person or property which arises out of or in connection with the visit.

Safety Centre Safety Education Workshop Terms and Conditions- Sponsored / Funded Sessions

1. Confirmation of booking

Once a provisional booking has been made, it is the School/Organisation’s responsibility to confirm your booking within the 7 days. If this does not happen, Safety Centre reserves the right to remove the booking from the diary. Funded workshops are allocated on a first come first served basis.

2. Maximum Capacity

The School/Organisation shall have no more than the maximum of 30 children in our standard classroom workshop. Larger groups can be booked but this must be done by prior arrangement only. Any last minute additions, subject to us being notified, may be liable for extra charges.

3. Visit Details

3.1) The School/Organisation must provide Safety Centre with details of any adverse reaction children may have to our workshops.

3.2) The School/Organisation must provide details of any pupil with relevant special needs Safety Centre may need to be aware of prior to the visit.

3.3) Safety Centre requires a member of the School’s/Organisation’s staff to be with our education team member at all times during the workshop.

In the event of a cancellation the School/Organisation must give Safety Centre 10 working days notice. Failure to do so will result in an administration charge of £45 + VAT.

Workshop sessions will be rebooked where possible – however, there may be times when Safety Centre has been given a time limit on the delivery of funded workshops. No alternatives will be given.

7. Cancellation of visit by Safety Centre

• It may be necessary for Safety Centre to cancel workshops with little notice to the School/Organisation. If this occurs, Safety Centre will endeavour to rebook the workshop with the School/Organisation as soon as possible unless:
